On Wednesday 18th April 2018 15.00-18.00 the CAUPD and NTNU will organize and host a roundtable seminar at the Mukamu Grand Ballroom in Xinjiang Plaza in Beijing.

This roundtable seminar will

  • cluster long-standing cooperation and commitment by Norwegian and Chinese urban experts, across the entire public and private sector value chain, to create smart sustainable cities as driving forces towards a low carbon future,
  • emphasise the importance of Sino-Norwegian cooperation to create an open innovation framework with systemic design, collaborative technologies and community-centred approaches in cities;
  • showcase Norway’s prominent role in the EU-China Partnership on Sustainable Urbanisation;
  • discuss recommend the development of a Sino-Norwegian centre on smart sustainable cities to intensify these commitments and ensure they can be scaled up, replicated and transferred research and innovation, education and capacity building.
